Serving Others

We share God's love by serving others...everywhere, everyday, locally and globally, because that is what Jesus invites us to do.   

We share God's love through Love In the Name of Christ of DeKalb/Sycamore, by collecting food for and working at the DeKalb Food Pantry, growing fresh produce for area food pantires and shelters in The Giving Garden, delivering Meals on Wheels to shut-ins, preparing meals for Hope Haven, a homeless shelter, and for Lutheran Campus Ministry at NIU, building homes through Habitat for Humanity, making quilts for people who need them locally and globally through Lutheran World Relief, selling Equal Exchange coffee, tea and chocolate, sending short term missionaries and supporting long term missionaries in Ketumbeine Parish in Tanzania, Africa, and the School of the Saints in Guatemala, and providing financial support to countless ministries and relief projects in the United States and around the world through our giving to the Northern Illinois Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
